ALL ABOUT ME

My name is Shannon; I am a proud Chicagoan, born and raised. My journey in the arts began in sixth grade, when I first stepped into the spotlight as a long-bearded bottle dancer for my middle school's production of Fiddler On The Roof. The moment the spotlight hit, my passion was ignited for performance, allowing me to channel every experience into my art. I've embraced my eccentric, sassy, and bubbly personality since childhood, therefore the stage has always been the perfect outlet for my (sometimes concerning) abundance of energy. Growing up as an athlete, I admire the teamwork theatre demands. I've always been drawn to roles that exude confidence and wit but strive for range as an actor. My mission as an artist is to tell stories that inspire empathy and love. Art is a service, and I hope to expose as many people as I can to the truly magical impact of theatre, film, and dance.

When I'm not performing, you can find me indulging in my love for watercolor, honing my dart skills, or shooting hoops on the basketball court. I enjoy teaching and spreading the knowledge of dance. As a free spirit, I adore travelling and love trying new restaurants. Now, I'm no Bobby Flay... but I consider myself an expert mac & cheese connoisseur! I have a burning passion for fashion. You'll usually see me rocking an ensemble with bright colors and crazy patterns (if you couldn't tell). I'm obsessed with anything from the 70s, specifically bell bottoms and mood rings. I love rock music, and I dream of being a motorcycle chick one day. I watch a lot of apocalypse movies; the zombie ones are my favorite. As much as I admire minimalists, I am the definition of a sentimental maximalist. My dad is my hero, and my family and friends mean everything to me. I feel like they would (hopefully) describe me as spontaneous, open minded, and goofy.
